"Spawn" was hand-carved from a piece of California Nephrite Jade.

Note from the Artist: Every year when my brother and I visit the cool mountain streams that deposit jade boulders, I admire the trout that effortlessly move through the water. I put on goggles and dive to the bottom of deep bedrock pools to look for jade while the larger fish tentatively watch from a distance and the little ones come close to investigate the foreign species. I am in their home and treat it as such. This design came from the need to honor all the critters that welcome my family and I into their home without malice or greed. Carved out of an exquisite jade that I found high on the river bank. The color and character of the stone is so unique and rare I wanted to use all the tones and bands of color with minimal waste. One fish is designed in the blue part of the stone and the other fish in the green part of the stone. This carving needs to be seen in person to truly appreciate the brilliance of the color.

The Cord: This piece is strung on a polyester/nylon blend cord with hand-carved beads of the same jade, that slide to adjust cord length. The length range of this cord is about 15-30,” but this varies, so please call us if you need your cord to be specifically tailored to you at no extra charge.

This pendant comes with a complimentary cord repair/replacement for life! You only pay for the shipping to get it to us - we will do the work and ship it back for free!
