“Riptides” was hand-carved out of Canadian Jade from the Cassiar Mine, and strung on brown nylon cord with a hand-carved accent bead and matching sliding beads for adjusting cord length.

Note from the Artist: Since I was 12 years old, I’ve been hooked on the beauty and complexity of ocean - explored mostly through swimming, diving, and above all - surfing. A beautiful jade to work, this piece was inspired by the flow of an ocean riptide and its eternal essence.
